Hi David,

Articles about HIV/AIDS in Africa can be found in many of the library's databases.  I searched "Aids AND Africa" in Academic Search Complete (a multidisciplinary database) and got over 12,000 results.  You could also try the other multidisciplinary databases, Academic OneFile and Lexis-Nexis Academic.  Medical databases, such as MedLine or CINAHL will have articles focusing on the medical aspects, while social-sciences ones like Sociological Collection or SocIndex will have articles on the societal impact of the disease.  And CQ Researcher, a database of in-depth reports on current issues, discussed HIV/AIDS worldwide in the 2012 report "Conquering AIDS"; at a glance, it looks like that report talks about Africa quite a bit, since that region is so badly affected by HIV.

I hope these suggestions help you to get started, David.  Please feel free to write back with more details about what you want to find out about HIV/AIDS in Africa, or stop by in person, and we can make some more specific suggestions.  Good luck!
