Hello Dr. Cooke ~
I believe we have some resources that you will find useful in working with you student on case study design. Below are books that we have available (2 being eBooks) as well as some search suggestions via the articles/databases. To access the eBooks, conduct a title search via the online catalog and use the weblink in the record to access the title.
Gillham, B. (2000). Case study reserach methods. Continuum (eBook)
In conducting a quick search, I found several results on case study research using Academic Search Complete. I utilized the advanced search feature (to include the use of AND and OR as boolean operators). Some search options that yielded numerous results included: case study AND research; case study OR case studies; case study research: design and methods.
Below is a link that will (hopefully) show you my initial results. I believe you will have success using these search terms in conjunction with subject terms related to your course of study for direct examples.
Lastly, if you need additional resources or would like to set up an appointment with a librarian, we can arrange that as well. Martina Haines (X - 2664) is your library liaison and would be a great resource as well.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for additional assistance and good luck on the project!
